Secret Content

We extended the WordPress user and authentication functionality to store custom data and then use that data for user login.

Each user gets created as any normal site user would. We assign a random username that our clients never see, and their “password” is their secret code. Each user holds a bunch of data – and when they log in that data get rendered as a web page.

The cool part – every user is technically on the same page. If you view the page source or inspect the secret code entry field you’ll see that the site redirects to “”. Regardless of the code entered the page shown is always “/secret-content/”.

An empty page is loaded, the site pulls that data from the user, and poof, a web page appears!
